Home Energy Model
A year, understood half hour by half hour.
HEM is the government’s developing successor methodology to SAP. It models a standardised home across 17,520 half-hour periods. Breathe uses the same direction of travel to design measures together, then keeps modelled expectations separate from what the real building later measures.
